Hello everyone!
My goodness! It's been a busy couple of weeks for everyone, it seems! From reaching deadlines, to the never-ending snow, to personal relationships....I know I've had my plate full. -_-
But really, it's all good...I wouldn't have it any other way. So let's review, shall we?
1) My job! Fit Brains is still doing very well....I wanted to congratulate and thank all my co-workers...they were the ones who made it happen; I was merely witness to their brilliance.
Hey everyone! Check out the site beta and try some of our games! They're all still in the VERY EARLY stages, but they're at least somewhat functional. http://24.82.155.173:8888/
(Make sure you go to the 'Games' button near the top of the screen, not the scrolling pictures.)
2) I am...'seeing' someone. Not gonna say who, and not gonna reveal any more than that. I'm having fun so far. 'Nuff said. =3
3) I finished one of the best and most fun DS games I've played in a while....Super Princess Peach! Oh man! It was so good! Admittedly, it had its flaws...the game, at times, almost seemed....too easy? Then, the gameplay would do a 180 and I would be on a stage that was so frustrating to beat....Honestly though, the game had a really good balance to it. Peach's world of Vibe Islad was expansive, lots to do, tons of fun things like mini games, putting together puzzles, and even watching Peach perform live on stage....there's something there for everyone.
The game is easy to learn, fun to play, and for you more hardcore gamers out there, there are even extra-difficult zones for you after you beat the game.
It was very obvious that Super Princess Peach was aimed at a younger audience, but I'm 22 years old, and I got a kick out of it. My other biggest nitpick? The story doesn't end! Or...
Maybe it does once I beat those extra hard zones? Hmmm. I'll have to see.
All in all, for me, Super Princess Peach gets an 8.5/10. I can find very little to complain about, but is it worth Nintendo's 'canon' price of $44.99?
I thought so, especially since I got it for Christmas. =)
4) Speaking of Nintendo...
Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I am obviously not the only person excited about this. I mean, Sonic. Is. In. BRAWL. I can honestly die happy now. Look here to watch the incredibly fucking epic introduction. SO GOOD.
Among other things that are of a more private nature, it's been a busy three weeks for me. As of now, I'm going to bed. As Scott Dewit of F@nboy$ says: "I'll see all you beautiful people later."
Peace out, yo.
~Cady
PS - Something fun for all you artists and designers out there. Watch the Quicktime video...it's great. :P
